About Home Massage in Dubai
Home Massage in Dubai is a founder-led mobile massage service working across every area of this city, twenty-four hours a day. It is run by Ryan Tan, a practising massage therapist with fifteen years in the industry, and every therapist on the team was hired and trained by him personally.
We are not a booking platform and we are not an agency. There is no layer between you and the person who arrives at your door.
The Person Behind It
Ryan Tan is from Singapore. He qualified as a massage therapist in 2011 at the Banyan Spa & Wellbeing Academy in Phuket, the training arm of Banyan Group and one of the few spa academies in Asia with a genuinely international reputation.
He began practising at Banyan’s Phuket property the same year. Two years later he moved to the Maldives with the same company and spent four more years there — a resort environment where guests arrive from every part of the world and standards are set at the top of the industry.
At the end of 2017 he became ill and returned to Singapore, leaving the job. He spent 2018 practising independently there. It did not work, and not because the work was wrong. Working alone in a small market meant spending more time looking for clients than treating them.
In October 2019 he moved to Dubai and joined the spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira. He stayed two years.
By 2021 enough clients wanted to book him directly that he started his own practice to serve them.
Fifteen years, three countries, and he still treats clients himself. That last part is deliberate. Nobody on this team is managed by someone who has never done the job.
Why This Business Exists
Our first priority is easiness. A client should not feel that booking a massage is another task. If something is not right, he picks up his phone, sends a message, and it is handled. That is the whole idea.
— Ryan Tan
Everything else on this page comes out of that one sentence.
Most of the friction in this industry is not in the massage. It is in everything around it. Deposits. Cancellation windows. Being told a therapist is on the way and then waiting ninety minutes. Being asked for dirhams when you landed two hours ago with euros. A price that grows between the website and the door. Being told yes when the honest answer was no.
None of that has anything to do with the quality of the treatment. All of it makes a massage feel like work.
We built the business to take those away, one at a time.
Since 2021, We Did Not Advertise
From 2021 until now, this business took no public bookings at all.
It ran for a closed list of roughly 1,500 people — clients Ryan had treated at Banyan, in the Maldives, at Mandarin Oriental and privately in Dubai. They had his number. That was the entire marketing strategy.
Those years shaped how we work. When every client is someone who could simply stop calling, you do not get to be late, you do not get to send a different therapist than the one promised, and you do not get to add a charge at the door. The habits formed then are the ones we still run on.
This is the first time we have been open to everyone.
How We Hire
Ryan is a therapist, so therapists are tested by a therapist.
Every applicant is assessed on the table by him before anything else happens. Not a CV review, not an interview — a treatment. Someone who cannot do the work does not reach a second conversation, whatever their paperwork says.
Credentials are checked after that, not instead of it. Every therapist we take on holds a current Dubai Health Authority licence, verified before they accept a single booking, and their DHA certificate, HOC certificate and massage diploma are published on their profile alongside their photograph.
It is a slower and more expensive way to build a team of nineteen. It is also the reason we have nineteen rather than six, across ten nationalities and twelve languages.
What We Train After Hiring
Technique is what gets a therapist hired here. It is not what makes a session good.
After hiring, Ryan trains every therapist personally on the part of this work most of the industry ignores — how to conduct yourself in someone’s home. How to read a client who says the pressure is fine when it is not. When to talk and when to stay quiet. How to set up in a stranger’s bedroom without making it awkward. How to handle someone who is in pain and short-tempered about it. How to leave a room exactly as you found it.
None of that is small. It is the difference between a massage someone tolerates and one they book again.
What "Easiness" Actually Means
Every policy below exists for the same reason. None of them is a marketing line.
We are open at four in the morning, with therapists on shift. Not a chat line that apologises. We carry more than one therapist of each nationality and speciality precisely so the hours nobody else covers can be filled.
We take cash in any currency, at the day’s exchange rate, with no fee. You landed two hours ago with euros, pounds, rupees or francs. Finding an exchange before you can lie down is a task. We removed it.
Nothing is paid when you book. No deposit, no prepayment, no card held. You pay when the session ends.
If the therapist who arrives is not the one you booked, you can end it at the door and pay nothing. We offer that because substitution is a real problem in this market, and the policy costs us nothing as long as we do our job.
One price, every treatment, every hour. AED 450 for sixty minutes, AED 600 for ninety, AED 700 for two hours. No night rate, no weekend rate, no travel charge, no fee for oils or the table.
When we cannot do it, we say so immediately. If you need someone in fifteen minutes and we cannot reach you, that is the first thing you are told, along with the earliest time we genuinely can. Nobody is left waiting on a therapist who was never sent.
This is a therapeutic service and nothing else. Our therapists deliver licensed massage therapy. Any request outside that ends the booking. We state it plainly because vagueness here helps nobody, and clients booking a legitimate service are entitled to know exactly what they are booking.
